This traditional Peruvian dessert was made in Lambayeque since 1920. The creation of this dessert born of a group of women from Lambayeque that wanted to provide food to settlers who were lack of resources. So, they started to bake this dessert in the house of Mrs. Victoria Mejia de Garcia. Her house was located in the street called “San Roque”, which nowadays is called “Dos de Mayo”. Meanwhile, the very known name of this dessert “King Kong” born from the popular movie “King Kong” that was released in Peru by 1933. People from the region associated the name with the so delicious dessert. “Fun” is the name that these layers of cookies with cherimoya caramel are related.

INGREDIENTS
Milk, sugar, fortified wheat flour (iron, niacin, thiamine, riboflavin, and folic acid), egg, glucose, cherimoya pulp, and partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (palm and soy). Contains less than 2% of: skim milk powder, yucca starch, stabilizer (carrageenan (ISN 407)), preservatives (calcium propionate (ISN 282) and potassium sorbate (ISN 202)), artificial flavor (cherimoya essence), raising agent (ammonium bicarbonate (ISN 503)), acidulant (citric acid (ISN 330)), pH control agent (ISN 500ii)), and milk enzyme
