Pescorunto means bird's egg in Quechua, alluding to the purple mottled grains. Its cultivation is more frequent at altitudes above 3000 meters above sea level. It is consumed toasted or fried. It has a soft texture in the endosperm. Kuski pescorunto corn comes from the inter-Andean valleys of Cusco, where the breed is found in its purest form, cultivated by families of small farmers. It is selected, dehydrated and packaged in our plant in Cusco.
